Hello, I’m Livia Tommasini. In a nutshell, I’m an experienced professional dog walker, knowledgeable in canine behavior, health, and pack dynamics, and specialized in handling multiple dogs in a group setting. I am passionate about giving dogs the socialization and exercise they need to be happy, healthy and well-rounded. And I love helping dogs overcome common fears or anxieties, so that they can have a great time socializing and exercising with their friends, making the lives of the humans who love them a little easier.
I am committed to keeping dogs in my care safe by teaching them anything they need to know to set them up for success using only force-free handling and training methods. I take my work seriously and I enthusiastically pursue continued education by keeping current with the literature on dog behavior, health, handling and training, and by regularly taking training classes to keep my hands-on skills fresh.
When I’m not busy helping my clients enjoy easier lives with their dogs, I love helping rescue dogs finding a forever loving home, I volunteer at Coastal German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, I love hiking with my hubby Greg and my Darley, a gorgeous German Shepherd girl, and I love exploring the world with Greg. You can learn more about our travels at Granite4Brains.
“Ciao” is a common Italian way of saying both “hello” and “goodbye.” Originally hailing from Italy and Switzerland, I looked for a way to incorporate a bit of my native tongue into the name of my service. As each day begins with picking up my canine charges for a fun-filled excursion (“hello again!”), and ends with dropping them safe and tuckered out at home (“goodbye for now!”), CiaoCiao seemed the perfect fit.
